The Health and Medical Geography Specialty Group (HMGSG) of the American Association of Geographers is offering up to two travel awards for the International Medical Geography Symposium (IMGS), hosted jointly by the University of Toronto, Toronto Metropolitan University, and Ontario Tech University. IMGS abstract submissions are due by March 31, 2026.

This travel award provides financial support for graduate and undergraduate students who plan to present on a health/medical geography topic at the conference. Apply via this form. The deadline has been extended to April 6th!

The HMGSG board will determine the winner(s) based on the quality of the abstract, financial need, and record of past scholarship. We intend to notify awardees by April 15th, 2026.
